The Writing Center offers clubs and organizations:

  • Workshops (see our Workshops page or below)
  • Meeting space
  • Information resources

The UCCS Writing Center has two different group meeting areas-one appropriate for groups of up to 6, and one for groups of up to 15.  If your student group needs a place to meet, contact Dr. Matthew Balk at mbalk@uccs.edu to discuss availability.

Workshops

The Writing Center offers a variety of workshops designed to support student organizations across the UCCS community. Each interactive workshop is facilitated and led by Writing Center consultants. All workshops are one hour in length except the Writing Center Introduction, which is often paired with other workshops.

Take a look at our Workshops page to find which workshops best support your student group/organization. If you'd like to discuss other options, please email Dr. Matthew Balk at mbalk@uccs.edu. To request a workshop, click the button "Request a Workshop", and then fill out the form. Please request workshops at least 2 weeks in advance to allow time for processing.
